AEW’s new book, This Book Is All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling, appears to leave out two of the company’s most influential figures — Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. According to Fightful Select, Rhodes is mentioned only around 15 times, with no deep dive into his creative influence or departure. Punk’s presence is even smaller, with little acknowledgment of his massive impact or the infamous Brawl In and Brawl Out incidents.
The omissions raise questions about transparency, especially since both Rhodes and Punk made major waves after leaving AEW — from Cody’s WWE return and championship win to Punk’s shocking comeback at Survivor Series 2023. AEW insiders say all key figures were included, but neither man was interviewed, suggesting a more selective storytelling approach. For a book promising to tell the “inside story,” fans might feel like some of AEW’s most pivotal chapters have been erased.
