According to PWInsider Elite, WWE initially believed Andrade could perform elsewhere immediately following his release since he was not receiving the usual 90 days of pay. However, the company later clarified that he is still bound by the 90-day non-compete period.
A WWE source explained that they wouldn’t allow a “loophole” where someone could violate policies and appear elsewhere right after leaving. WWE made it clear that even without compensation, Andrade remains under the same post-release restrictions as other talent.
