Masha Slamovich’s wrestling career has hit a major roadblock. Just weeks ago, the former TNA Knockouts Champion was reportedly in line for major opportunities with WWE or NXT, but serious allegations have put everything on hold.
According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, WWE had shown some level of interest in Slamovich, and TNA was also open to keeping her if she didn’t make the jump. Her contract, however, was already set to expire, which influenced TNA’s decision to pull her from Victory Road and have Ash by Elegance take the Knockouts Title before the allegations surfaced.
Sapp noted that TNA’s choice “was an easy one,” since Slamovich wasn’t expected to re-sign. Despite the uncertainty, there’s still a chance she could return to TNA in the future, depending on how everything develops.
