Adam Cole’s in-ring future with AEW remains uncertain, as Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp revealed that the former TNT Champion is “nowhere near returning.” Sapp noted Cole has been battling ongoing issues related to his concussion and isn’t doing any coaching or behind-the-scenes work while recovering.
Dave Meltzer previously reported that Cole’s AEW All In: Texas withdrawal wasn’t storyline-related—he was cleared to wrestle as of Friday night, but woke up the next morning showing clear symptoms and was immediately pulled. Both Cole and Tony Khan were said to be visibly shaken by the situation.
With no timetable for a comeback and AEW keeping him off the road to prioritize his health, Cole’s return appears to be a long way off.
