WWE President Nick Khan recently addressed AAA’s roster before Triplemanía XXXIII, telling the wrestlers that WWE is not there to take over their product. Instead, he assured them the partnership is meant to help AAA talent gain global exposure and increase their earnings.
While some AAA talent were hopeful about the collaboration, others expressed concern about new contract restrictions that prevent them from taking independent U.S. bookings. Multiple WWE stars also competed at the event, including Dominik Mysterio in a AAA Mega Championship match.
