The working relationship between WWE and Pro Wrestling NOAH has been quiet in recent months, leading fans to wonder whether the partnership is still active. According to a recent update, the answer is yes—but with some caveats.
During a Q&A session on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the current status of the WWE-NOAH partnership. Sapp clarified that the deal is still in place but is rarely utilized. According to him, these collaborations tend to happen when they fit WWE's creative plans or if a talent happens to be off TV for a time.
“They’ll pop up every so often—like whenever it works, or even when there’s somebody who takes a little bit of time off TV. I haven’t heard of anything recently, though,” Sapp explained.
Sapp also pointed out that WWE's focus has shifted more toward its partnerships with TNA and AAA, which have generated more recent activity. That said, the NOAH arrangement remains intact behind the scenes.
“The focus right now has been primarily on the TNA and AAA relationships. But the NOAH one is not over. There are a lot of moving parts, and they want to make sure they’ve got their ducks in a row, as best I know. But yeah—it’s not over.”
While no major WWE-NOAH projects are currently in motion, the door remains open for future collaborations between the two companies.
