Goldberg Reportedly Returning to WWE, Targeting GUNTHER

Goldberg is reportedly on his way back to WWE—and his target appears to be none other than GUNTHER.

According to BodySlam.net’s Viper, Goldberg is planned to make his return next week on Monday Night RAW, fresh off the heels of GUNTHER reclaiming the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after defeating Jey Uso.

The timing seems intentional. For weeks, speculation has swirled that Goldberg’s long-awaited retirement match could involve “The Ring General,” and WWE now looks to be setting that plan in motion.

GUNTHER himself addressed the buzz during his post-victory comments, dismissing the idea that legends like Goldberg were ever a real threat.

“Everyone was speculating that Seth Rollins was gonna do something with his briefcase, or that Goldberg was gonna show up to finally kick my ass,” GUNTHER said. “In reality, when I was world champion the first time, all those big names stayed away from me—and for good reason.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Goldberg recently confirmed on CarCast that his retirement match is set, though the public is still in the dark about the exact date.

“I know the date (of my retirement match). No one else knows the date public-wise… I hurt myself a couple times in the past three months. But I pulled back,” Goldberg admitted.

If this report holds true, the next chapter of Goldberg’s legendary career—and possibly his final match—could unfold very soon against GUNTHER.
