WWE could be making a major return to China—and this time, not just for a live event. According to Fightful Select, influential figures inside WWE have been lobbying for a Premium Live Event to take place in Hong Kong, with talks ongoing for several months.
This would mark WWE’s first-ever show in Hong Kong and its first in China since 2019. WWE has only run eight events in the country, most in Shanghai, before the pandemic halted their annual September visits. With international expansion once again a priority, WWE sees Hong Kong as a potential gateway to further strengthen its presence in East Asia.
While no official announcement has been made, the traction behind these discussions suggests a Hong Kong PLE may soon become a reality.
