The battle between WWE and AEW is heating up once again. After AEW moved All Out to a 3 p.m. ET start time to avoid clashing with WWE’s Wrestlepalooza on September 20, reports suggest WWE has no intention of backing off its counter-programming strategy.
Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that WWE insiders told him the company plans to keep targeting AEW with scheduling decisions. Alvarez further predicted the war could escalate, with WWE eventually adjusting its own show times in response to AEW.
This marks the first time a WWE main roster PLE will go head-to-head with an AEW pay-per-view, continuing WWE’s trend throughout 2025 of running NXT shows on AEW event dates. The competition between the two companies looks far from cooling off.
