Brock Lesnar Quietly Signed New WWE Contract After Months as a Free Agent

Brock Lesnar has officially signed a new WWE contract after spending several months as a free agent, per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. On his old deal, Lesnar continued to be paid even after WWE stopped using him, but that agreement eventually expired, leaving him unsigned.

Dave Meltzer reported that WWE’s legal team originally advised against using Lesnar, which meant they also didn’t bother offering him a new deal. Once cleared, WWE presented him with a contract for limited dates. The company reportedly never worried about AEW making an offer, either due to ongoing lawsuit allegations or confidence that Lesnar wouldn’t reach out.

Lesnar is now locked in for WWE’s September 20 WrestlePalooza event, marking the company’s first Premium Live Event on ESPN. His return is expected to give the show a major boost as WWE enters its next broadcast era.
