Britt Baker hasn’t appeared on AEW television in nearly a year, but according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, she has stayed in shape during her absence and is ready for a return.
With AEW and ROH currently featuring five women’s titles, many believe this is the perfect opportunity to bring Baker back. Sapp noted the break has been beneficial for both sides, allowing time to reset. Baker still has over a year left on her contract, so speculation about her departure has been dismissed.
Tony Khan confirmed she has “never talked to me about leaving,” attributing her absence to AEW’s rotating talent policy. AEW’s September 24 episode of Dynamite in Pittsburgh could serve as her return date, but many believe if it doesn’t happen there, her comeback may never materialize.
