During the promo, Becky said the only good thing from Birmingham “died a month ago,” referring to Ozzy, who passed away in July. While meant as heel heat, many fans felt it was distasteful. Kelly Osbourne slammed Lynch and WWE, while Bryan Alvarez revealed WWE higher-ups were unhappy and are weighing an apology. Lance Storm also criticized the promo, saying such references make wrestling feel “low-brow and cheap.”
