WWE Reportedly Has No Plans to Turn Cody Rhodes Heel

Despite The Rock’s push for a heel turn, WWE reportedly has no interest in turning Cody Rhodes heel anytime soon. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company is sticking with Rhodes as a top babyface, citing strong merchandise and ticket sales.

While Rhodes received boos during his build with John Cena before WrestleMania 41, WWE has made no changes to his creative plans. Insiders have even called the idea of a heel turn “the worst idea possible” right now.

Rhodes is set to face Jey Uso in the King of the Ring semifinals on RAW, with a potential match against either Randy Orton or Sami Zayn at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
