Saudi Arabia Expects WWE SmackDown and Night of Champions to Proceed as Planned

Despite the growing uncertainty in the region, the Saudi Arabian government reportedly still expects WWE’s SmackDown and Night of Champions events to move forward as scheduled this week.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Saudi officials have not indicated any changes to WWE’s upcoming shows in Riyadh. This update comes amid global tensions that have raised concerns over travel and security for WWE talent and staff. As previously reported, some of WWE’s production crew remains stranded in Qatar following airspace disruptions after Iranian attacks on a U.S. military base. WWE talent is expected to fly out mid-week, though no official updates have been given to wrestlers about potential changes to plans.

For now, all indications suggest the events will proceed unless the situation worsens or WWE makes a late decision to postpone or cancel.
