Rumor of TKO Renegotiating Roman Reigns’ WWE Contract Debunked

Roman Reigns remains one of WWE’s highest-paid stars, but recent rumors claiming that TKO was looking to renegotiate his lucrative contract have been debunked. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Reigns is currently the top-paid WWE talent aside from The Rock and earns well over $5 million annually.

Meltzer reported that there are at least seven WWE performers making significantly over $5 million a year, with two more expected to reach that mark by the end of 2025. He directly addressed claims made by Jonathan Coachman and Tommy Carlucci, who stated on their podcast that TKO wanted to reduce Reigns’ salary or adjust his contract terms — calling the story false.

The original rumor suggested that TKO executives questioned paying Reigns $15 million a year due to his part-time schedule, but Meltzer clarified no such renegotiations have occurred. This puts to rest any speculation that Roman Reigns’ contract or standing within WWE is in jeopardy as the company continues to make financial adjustments elsewhere.
