Backstage Issues Reported Over WWE and AEW Talent Appearing Together on Amazon's American Gladiator

Amazon Prime’s reboot of American Gladiators is stirring backstage tension as WWE’s The Miz is set to host alongside AEW stars Wardlow and Kamille. 

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there's reportedly "one side" unhappy about this crossover. Sources suggest the show’s producers didn’t anticipate this conflict when casting both WWE and AEW talent. Former WWE star Rick Boogs and OVW’s Jessie Godderz will also appear. 

The series will blend past favorites like “Gauntlet” and “Hang Tough” with new physical challenges. Despite creative excitement around the reboot, the backstage unease could raise concerns before its debut.
