AEW and Jon Moxley Sued for Assault and Negligence by Injured Production Crew Member

AEW and Jon Moxley are facing a civil lawsuit from production crew member Christopher Dispensa, who claims he was injured during an unscripted incident on the May 10, 2023, episode of Dynamite in Detroit.

Dispensa alleges that Moxley violently shoved him while grabbing a screwdriver during a cage match with Kenny Omega, an act he says was not part of the planned segment.

The shove reportedly led to severe neck and shoulder injuries requiring cervical fusion and surgery. Dispensa accuses AEW of gross negligence, arguing they failed to protect crew members from unpredictable talent behavior.

He also claims AEW should’ve been aware of Moxley’s alleged "documented history of unpredictability," though sources within AEW deny such a record, describing Moxley as a respected locker room leader.

Dispensa is seeking over $25,000 in damages for medical costs, disability, wage loss, emotional distress, and reputational harm.

AEW declined comment, citing pending litigation.
