Blake Monroe, formerly known as Mariah May in AEW, hasn’t even had her first televised match in WWE, but plans are already in place to shake up her character.
According to Fightful Select, WWE creative has discussed a near-future heel turn for Monroe in NXT, signaling a shift away from her current babyface role.
Monroe is set to debut at The Great American Bash, teaming with NXT Women’s Champion Jordynne Grace. But it seems her fresh-faced run might be short-lived as WWE reportedly sees big things ahead, including a darker side of her persona.
