WWE has reportedly dropped plans to run an event at the 2300 Arena the week prior to AEW’s upcoming residency at the venue. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE was originally set to book the legendary Philadelphia building but is no longer moving forward with that idea.
The 2300 Arena, formerly known as the ECW Arena, will soon host AEW programming as part of their announced residency. WWE’s decision removes what could have been a subtle scheduling battle between the two promotions.
