Triple H Facing Backstage Criticism Over R-Truth Comments

The fallout from Ron Killings’ (R-Truth) sudden WWE return continues, and not everyone in the locker room is buying into Triple H’s “it’s all part of the show” explanation.

According to Fightful Select, several WWE talents are privately pushing back on that narrative. One source told Fightful that Triple H knows full well that “lying to or working the locker room is in horrible taste”, particularly regarding a veteran like Killings.

Despite public-facing comments designed to downplay the controversy, multiple talents outright disagreed with Triple H’s framing of the situation. Many saw the abrupt release and equally abrupt return of R-Truth as far from “just part of the show,” especially since it was reportedly a real release followed by a last-minute change due to fan and internal backlash.

This internal dissent adds another layer to the controversy that’s been brewing since R-Truth—now performing as Ron Killings—speared John Cena and returned at Money in the Bank, stealing the spotlight from what was supposed to be a key moment for Cody Rhodes.
