Chris Jericho Waiting on AEW Storyline as Fozzy Tour Ends

Chris Jericho is officially available for a return to AEW, but is currently waiting on creative plans from Tony Khan.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jericho has wrapped up his latest tour with Fozzy and is now on standby for a storyline to bring him back to AEW television. While no return date is set, AEW has the green light to use him immediately, should a fitting storyline emerge.

Jericho's schedule remains clear until early 2026, when Fozzy embarks on a U.K. tour from February 6 to February 21. If he's involved in a major angle at that time, he could miss two weeks of programming.

Before stepping away, Jericho had been featured as ROH World Champion and was continuing his “Learning Tree” character arc. His return could reignite a new chapter in AEW storytelling—once Tony Khan pulls the trigger.
